Fond Memories

This painting was completed on location in Fish Creek, Wisconsin, during the 2009 Door County Plein Air Festival. This old Chevy had recently emerged into view after some of the surrounding brush had been cleared away...lucky for me! It was an unusual subject for me and it was great fun to paint. I called it "Fond Memories" as it reminded me of the old Chevy my parents owned when I was a child. We travelled back and forth between Maine and California several times in that car with many adventures along the way.
